This lamp is made of metal, Iron I think or perhaps pot metal. It is old and the paint which is a shade of green or Turquois is peeling off showing and under coat of a terracotta color. I must say that it looks great, all be it by accident. I think this old shade goes very well with it too. It is not fancy. A classic simple design and original hardware. This little lamp at 15 inches high will go great in any corner, by a book shelf, in a study or a bedroom on a night stand. This item will enhance any area you may want to bring out "the old" look.
