Tall octavo, exceptionally ornate full leather binding and gilt edges.A VERY Scarce book. Egypt as it was in 1850. Condition: Very good. Some foxing, corners rubbed and some wear. 1st fly page has small stamp "library of Walter S. Maines". I presume that to be the previous owner, and the dedication penned in "Father, from Jinnie & Frank, Sept. 17, 1870" The same stamp as mentioned appears on the last fly page. There is also what looks to me to be three initials engraved in gilt on the front board. Looks like L.G.S. Very ornate.
